One of the great joys for me is to recreate and photograph prototypical scenes on my model railway. Engine smoke/steam effects have been added to the photograph of the model, where appropriate. Apart from that they are true images of the model.
This week we return to Misterton (based on Crewkerne).
The Prototype:
A King Arthur class with the 12.55pm Exeter Central – Yeovil service on Thursday 08 Jul 1948
The Model:
A King Arthur class with the 12.55pm Exeter Central – Yeovil service. The locomotive is showing the early BR lion in wheel totem which places it in 1949 at the earliest.
The building between the loco and goods shed is different to the prototype view. It is a model of the Crewkerne weighbridge office available to purchase here.
