A Good Year for Yarrow

yarrow fieldBack in the summer I noticed a few sprigs of the wild Yarrow flower growing in my front lawn. They appeared naturally without any planting by me.

Yarrow is the key component of the model trees I make for my model railway. So, I decided to leave the plants and see what happened. Well the few sprigs have turned into a field! much to the bemusement of my neighbours.

I have noticed that the countryside also abounds with them this year - a better display than last year.

It's not quite time to harvest but if you want a go at making trees checkout the step by step guide on my website.

  1. Amazing! Thank you for the guide on How to Grow a Model Tree - I shall keep my eyes open because trees are still, really, on our list for the future!

I've added a link to your blog on http://derwentmidland.blogspot.com maybe you'd like to link back?
